বাংলাদেশের ক্যারিয়ার শিক্ষার বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি
শিক্ষার অন্যতম একটি মূল উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে দেশের নাগরিকের জ্ঞান, দক্ষতা, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি ও মুল্যবোধ্যের উন্নতি সাধন করা যাতে করে তারা নিজেদের ও দেশের উন্নয়নে ভূমিকা পালন করতে পারে। অর্থাৎ, সুশিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়ে একজন নাগরিক নৈতিক ও দায়িত্বশিল ব্যাক্তি হিসেবে গড়ে উঠবে এবং দেশের আর্থিক উন্নয়নে অংশগ্রহণ করবে। এই কাজের জন্য একজন ব্যক্তি যে সকল যোগ্যতায় সেরা তা ব্যবহার করে একটি ক্যারিয়ার নির্ধারনের চেষ্টা করে।
কিন্তু পর্যাপ্ত কর্মক্ষেত্র ও বিভিন্ন বৈষম্যের জন্য বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশে বেকার নাগরিকের সংখ্যা ২৫ লাখ ৯০ হাজার। বৈষম্য়ের কথা বললেই এখন সবাই ২০২৪ সালের জুলাই মাসের কোটা আন্দোলনের কথা ভাবে। কিন্তু এর বাইরেও ক্যারিয়ার সচেতনতার অভাবের কারণে প্রায় প্রতি বছরই অনেক শিক্ষার্থি স্কুলে থেকে ঝড়ে যায়।
এরকমই বাংলাদেশের রাজধানীর একটি মাধ্যমিক স্কুলের ৭ম ও ৮ম শ্রেণির সার্ভেতে দেখা গেছে এখানে যে শিক্ষার্থিরা পড়াশুনা করে তার মধ্যে ৪৩% শিক্ষার্থি বিভিন্ন কারণে ঢাকার বাইরে থেকে ঢাকায় চলে এসেছে নিজেদের পরিবারকে আর্থিকভাবে সম্বল করার জন্য। এই একই শিক্ষার্থিদের মধ্যে ৬০% শিক্ষার্থী তার পরিবারের প্রথিম জেনারেশন হিসেবে পড়ালেখা করছে। তাই তাদের কাছে কোনো রোল মডেল নেই যারা তাকে ভবিষ্যৎ ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে সচেতন করবে।জ্ঞান ও সঠিক তথ্যের অভাব যে বৈষম্য তৈরি করছে তা দূর করতে ক্যারিয়ার শিক্ষা নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থী, অভিভাবকসহ অন্যান্য অংশীদারদের সচেতন করা খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
টিচ ফর অল এর ফিউচার অফ ওয়ার্কের গবেষণা তথ্য মতে শিক্ষা এবং কর্মজীবনের প্রস্তুতির মধ্যে একটি মিলহীনতা রয়েছে। বিশ্বজুড়ে শিক্ষার্থীরা আজকের কর্মবাজারের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় দক্ষতা চিহ্নিত করতে বা অর্জন করতে সক্ষম হয় না, যা একটি বিশ্বব্যাপী দক্ষতার স্বল্পতা এবং তরুণ বেকারত্বকে আরও তীব্র করে তোলে। একটি গবেষণা মতে ১৫ বছর বয়সের অর্ধেকেরও কম শিক্ষার্থী স্কুলে ক্যারিয়ার গাইডেন্স পেয়ে থাকে। অর্থনীতিকভাবে অসচ্ছল পরিবারের শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে এই অসচেতনতার হার আরও বেশি। OECD এর গবেষণা অনুযায়ী, যারা ১৫ বছর বয়সের আগে কোনো শিক্ষকের সাথে ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছিল তারা, যারা আলোচনা করেনি তাদের তুলনায় ৩% বেশি আয় করেছে এবং নিজের জন্য সঠিক ক্যারিয়ার গড়তে সফল হয়েছে।
বাংলাদেশের ক্যারিয়ার শিক্ষার বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি মোকাবেলায় করণীয়
- সকল শিক্ষার্থীদের ছোটবেলা থেকেই ক্যারিয়ার শিক্ষা নিয়ে সচেতন করা উচিত।
- এই সব শিক্ষার্থিদের টেকসই উন্নয়নের জন্য দরকার ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে সঠিক নির্দেশনা ও রিসোর্স।
এই কারনেই আমাদের এই Altlearn প্রোজেক্টের যাত্রা শুরু। এই প্রোজেক্টের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের ক্যারিয়ার নিয়ে সঠিক দিকনির্দেশনা ও শেখার জন্য উপযুক্ত শিখন বিষয়বস্তু শিক্ষার্থীবান্ধব সহজ সরল ভাষায় উপস্থাপন করা হবে।

Career Informed Pedagogy
Career Informed Pedagogy (CIP) integrates career education seamlessly into the regular lesson plan, embedding career awareness and exploration into subjects like math and science. By connecting academic lessons with real-world career opportunities, CIP equips students with the knowledge and skills to make informed career choices, making learning more purposeful and sustainable.
Career Exposure Activity
We organize workshops and seminars for students, connecting them with experts from diverse professions to broaden their career horizons. According to OECD research, students who had career conversations with a teacher by age 15 earned 3% more at age 30 than those who did not, underscoring the significance of career exposure activities for long-term success.
Collaboration
We collaborate with schools to establish career clubs, providing the necessary resources and educational materials to integrate career education into their systems. Additionally, we partner with professionals and university organizations to mobilize resources, ensuring that students gain valuable exposure and insights to make informed choices about their future.
Access to Information
We are developing digital content to raise awareness, creating career exploration resources to help students identify their areas of interest, and designing Career Informed Pedagogy (CIP) for educators. By equipping all stakeholders, we aim to ensure students are career-ready and contribute to a future where everyone has access to equitable, decent work and the opportunity to thrive.

We incorporated career education with the regular lesson plan. Incorporating the components of career education with math and science lesson make this project sustainable.
Career Exposure Activity
We arrange workshop, seminar for students so that they exposed with experts from diverse profession. According to OECD research suggests students who reported having a career conversation with a teacher by age 15 earned 3% more at age 30 compared to peers who did not. So, career exposure activities are important for students' success.
Collaboration
We collaborate with schools and equip them to establish career club in their school with necessary resources and educational materials to incorporate career education in the school system.
